About ResMed AirMini Auto CPAP Machine
The ResMed AirMini AutoSet is the most compact CPAP machine ResMed has ever made — measuring just 5.4" x 3.3" x 2.1" and weighing 10.6 ounces, lighter than most smartphones. Despite its size, it packs the same core therapy technology found in the AirSense 11, making it far more than a stripped-down travel device.
The AirMini operates in three therapy modes: AutoSet, AutoSet for Her, and standard fixed-pressure CPAP. In AutoSet mode, the machine continuously monitors your breathing and adjusts pressure between 4 and 20 cm H₂O in real time — responding to apnea events and easing back down when your airway is clear, exactly as a full-size auto CPAP would. AutoRamp with sleep onset detection starts therapy at a low, comfortable pressure and gently rises to your therapeutic level once you’ve fallen asleep, so you’re never fighting the machine at bedtime. EPR (Expiratory Pressure Relief) softens the pressure during each exhale, making the breathing cycle feel natural.
One of the AirMini’s most innovative features is its HumidX waterless humidification system. Instead of a water tank, the AirMini uses a small heat-and-moisture exchange cartridge — the HumidX — that fits into the tubing connector and captures warmth and moisture from your own breath, recycling it back with each inhale. No water, no refilling, no worrying about spills in your bag. The HumidX cartridge is replaced every 30 days, and a HumidX Plus version is available for drier climates or high-altitude environments.
The AirMini connects to the free AirMini app via Bluetooth, giving you nightly sleep scores, compliance tracking, mask leak data, and up to 30 days of stored therapy history — all from your smartphone. The app also includes a Test Drive feature that lets new users experience the therapy sensation before their first full night, which significantly reduces first-night anxiety. Clinicians can review your data remotely and adjust settings without requiring an in-office visit.
The AirMini is FAA-approved for use on commercial flights, making it the go-to choice for frequent flyers. It runs on a compact 20-watt power supply that supports universal voltage (100–240V), so it works with any outlet worldwide — no voltage converter needed. It is compatible with a range of ResMed AirFit masks including the N20, N30, P10, F20, and F30, and requires ResMed AirMini-specific tubing. The AirMini carries a 2-year manufacturer warranty
